We are born in this world with Prarabdh — past life karmas. No one can escape the result of deeds done in our past life.

How to check our Prarabdh? This is seen in the individual horoscope by the placement of planets in certain houses. As the birth takes place, the planetary position gets frozen, showing what you have brought into this world as your report card. This starts with the dasha sequence you get at birth.

A benefic dasha at birth gets you easy passage and is a good time for your parents, and vice versa.

Though Saturn rules our past life karmas, the other planets also carry their signature. Below is a short synopsis of the planets to read your own life pattern and relate it to your present life. We will start with the king of planets — Sun.

• Sun: A good Sun gives high status, executive position, and birth in a rich family. A negative karmic Sun gives struggle, confrontation with authority, and a tough life in a low-status family.
