In 1947 Lord Mountbatten chose 14th August as the day on which India and Pakistan would be given independence. Mr Jinnah of the Muslim league was perfectly happy with it but our Indian leaders were troubled as the day was not suitable for our country’s future growth and had bad planetary combinations. British Government was not willing to give two different date of independence to one country and the closest auspicious time was around 00.01.00 hrs. on 15th august according to the astrologers. In this difficult situation Pt Jawaharlal Nehru came up with a brilliant idea. He called the constituent assembly meeting in the afternoon of 14th august and continued with speech after speech till the stroke of midnight and ushered in our independence on 15th august.
The time of midnight was in abhijeet muhurat, a very auspicious time to start anything new and on top of that moon had moved from the nakshatra of punarvasu to pushya, an auspicious nakshatra of Saturn added to our muhurat which was missing in Pakistan’s chart. This nakshatra is very auspicious for establishing a kingdom.
The ascendant chosen was of Taurus sign and the dasha was of Saturn, a yog karaka planet for Taurus ascendant. The next dasha in sequence was of mercury, which also would be good. But we with all possible precautions could not get an ideal planetary combinations and we had to face few problems over the years.
In Saturn-Rahu dasha India had to face a war with China (1962). Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru our first Prime Minister was taken aback by this attack and lost his health and life in 1964.
The end of Saturn dasha (1965) brought Lal Bahadur Shastri for a brief period of 18 months. A war with Pakistan in 1965, which we won but he lost his life in Russia where he had gone to negotiate a peace talk with Pakistan. He was followed by Smt Indira Gandhi as the Prime Minister.
In the dasha of Mercury-Rahu (1975-1977) an emergency was imposed.
In the next dasha of ketu (1982-1989) there was lot of unrest and violence leading to the assassination of Mrs Indira Gandhi in October 1984.
Our war with Pakistan in 1999 was in the dasha of Venus-Rahu.
The point here is that though we have had some bad times but are miles ahead of Pakistan in terms of growth, technology and as a state. In fact as the years are passing we are progressing towards being a super power and Pakistan is reducing itself to a rouge state.
This astrological advice has proved its worth and muhurat is an important part of astrology. Even today this science is very relevant. So a proper time chosen for a particular activity gives better results.
