Saturn is a dark, dull and sorrow giving planet. He wears torn clothes and represents the cold season. There is a lack of warmth in his persona and skin is dry with rough hair. It is very strong in the evening and is an airy planet. It is a very malefic planet and creates want in the house where it is placed. For example if it is in the second house of wealth and speech, it deprives one from collecting wealth and also gives very harsh speech to the native. It rules the signs of Capricorn and Aquarius and exalts in Libra. It takes around 30 years to complete one full round of the zodiac. Saturn rules deserts, forests, abandoned valleys, mountains, graveyards, abandoned old homes, coal mines and dirty smelly places. It likes to stay alone and is an unhappy depressive planet.

If Saturn in your chart is yogkarak or owner of good houses, it makes you a deep thinker, a person of few words and very hard working. This person is a good giver and taker and of a balanced view. His later life is of ease and he performs his duties well.

On the other hand if it is the owner of 6, 8 or 12th house {bad houses}then this person fights with everyone, is greedy and does not trust anyone. His confidence is low, is stingy and is very lazy and selfish. He does not speak well of women, is a liar and very evil in nature. He is always dissatisfied and is always ready to cry. They are deprived of wealth and have very harsh speech.
